Collaboration Instead of Exclusion
At Pear Collections, we have had the privilege of working with some incredible women who are celebrating their passions and turning them into businesses. While it’s our mission to help women love their curves and feel comfortable in their clothing, it is also our mission to support fellow women in business who are going after their dreams. After all, that’s what owner and lead designer Angie Martin did when creating Pear Collections.
Our latest collaboration is one the team was thrilled to be part of, as it came as a complete surprise when we were approached! For this project, we partnered with another incredibly inspiring woman, Katarina Lottchen from Her Umbrella Magazine.

Who is Katarina Lottchen?
Katarina is the founder of the Her Umbrella empire.
This empire includes:
- Her Umbrella Magazine,
- Her Umbrella Marketing,
- Her Umbrella Podcast, and
- Her Umbrella Summit
It is Katarina’s mission to celebrate the movements of successful, inspiring, and thriving female entrepreneurs who are taking on the world, both locally and internationally. To do this, she has created your empire around the collaboration of supportive, like-minded women focused on lifting others up and sharing resources to better their communities.
This incredible woman believes that we all deserve to live the life we have always dreamed of and wants to be that support network that helps us achieve it.
What’s the best part about Katarina? She practices what she preaches. She doesn’t just run a magazine, marketing company, podcast, and workshops – she is constantly learning and growing in her community to make the best of her life as well.
How inspiring is that!
Working Together for the Common Good
When it comes to Her Umbrella Magazine, Katarina focuses on sharing and celebrating local businesses through her nationwide publication. Capturing the essence and spirit of Australian businesswomen, this incredible magazine is unapologetically female-focused. By understanding and embracing how female entrepreneurs run businesses, live their lives and lead, Her Umbrella Magazine shines a light on the different stages of business, ultimately supporting more businesses to succeed.
Whether you are looking to upskill, continually grow, or need support as an entrepreneur, Katarina has created a community focused on working together, building connections, and maximising dreams rather than focusing on competition.
Just like Pear Collections, this magazine owner is a big believer in entrepreneurship and is passionate about helping others succeed while focusing on creating self-empowerment and social change. Women in business and women in general are resilient, and our determination is the ultimate power we have to change, evolve, and improve our lives for the better – especially when we come together and collaborate for the common good.
The Project
For years, women have been making incredible advances in business, furthering our global impact – but we haven’t done it alone. We have done so by supporting other female business owners rather than excluding them out of fear of competition. Together, female entrepreneurs like Katarina and Angie, owner and founder of Pear Collections, have been working to support other inspiring women in creating new and exciting pathways.
By speaking up against inequality, mentoring, empowering, and inspiring us, female entrepreneurs have created community upon community of incredible women doing amazing things.
This is how and why Pear Collections and Her Umbrella Magazine first met and decided to work together. With both owners’ passion for supporting one another to create impactful experiences, we decided to commit to supporting each other’s communities for the common good.
- Helping more women love their curves
- Helping more women support each other
In the end, it was a win-win for each brand and something both of our communities could celebrate.
What was the project? You ask?
Her Umbrella Magazine Issue 4.
In this edition, Katarina and her incredible team made of up Karina Anderson (Karina Mac Photography), Kelli Williams (World Muffin) and Naomi Nicholls (Nicholls Wealth Solutions) to just name a few; featured entrepreneurs and contributors who have a passion for what they do.
This issue features interviews, articles, research pieces, photography projects, and editorials, all celebrating an inclusive community of female-run businesses and business owners who are changing the way we think about women in leadership roles.
Pear Collections was one of the many partners privileged to connect with other women in business, learn from, and celebrate our journeys to business success. More specifically, in the one-on-one interview, we discussed the inspiration behind the brand’s creation, Pear Collections' mission, how we fared during the COVID-19 pandemic and what is in store for Pear’s community.
Pretty amazing, right? Just imagine a world where female entrepreneurs routinely and intentionally shared their skills, resources, and time to pay it forward and help other women-led businesses…what a transformational ripple that would create in the world of women-owned businesses.
