What is a pear-shaped body anyways?
First things first, a Pear Shaped body has beautiful curves!
Sometimes referred to as a Triangle Shape because you’re bottom-heavy, a Pear Shaped body is shockingly one of the most common body structures amongst women. If only the fashion industry could get the memo!
The term Pear Shaped is used loosely to describe our body fat distribution that is localized to the lower half of the body creating thick thighs, full rear and curvy hips. In short, here is a checklist to see if you classify as a Pear:
- Your waist and hips are wider than your bust
- You have narrow shoulders in comparison to your hips
- You have a fuller rear
- You have a nicely defined waist
- You have an elegant neck and proportionately slim arms and shoulders
- You first gain weight in your bottom and legs flowed by your tummy and upper body
Ladies, if you have this beautiful body shape just remember we need to embrace our curves and celebrate our great features and show them off– such as one of our best assets – our waist!
